The Navy League is a civilian organization dedicated to informing the American people that the United States of America is a maritime nation and that its national defense and economic well-being are dependent upon strong sea services -- U.S Navy, U.S Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S.-flag Merchant Marine.

To join all you have to be is a citizen of the United States with a desire to embrace the above principles. Being former military is not a requirement. In fact members of the active military are excluded from membership, although their families are welcome.

If you wish, an application form is available here. Simply print it and complete the requested information making sure to indicate Broward County Council as your preferred council. You should mail it to the address on the form.
